Indian today revealed its 2015 model lineup, reviving the Roadmaster name for a new “luxury touring” model that has an MSRP starting at $26,999.

The original Indian company produced the Roadmaster between 1947 and 1953. “It is truly a privilege and an honor for our team to be a part of motorcycling history in designing and reintroducing the Roadmaster, which has such a legendary reputation as the king of the luxury touring bikes,” said Steve Menneto, vice president of Polaris-owned Indian.LA Indian MY15 PR shoot May, 2014

The Roadmaster not only features hard bags but a top trunk, giving it “nearly 38 gallons of integrated and waterproof storage,” Indian said. All bags have remote lock and the bike has keyless ignition.

Other premium features include heated seats for rider and passenger, heated grips with 10 temperature settings, ABS, chrome front and rear highway bars, triple power ports and cruise control and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The Roadmaster will begin arriving in dealerships in September. It will be available in black, red and two-tone (red and LA Indian MY15 PR shoot May, 2014cream). It will be unveiled to the public on Saturday at the 74th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Indian will continue to offer the Cheif Classic. Chief Vintage and Cheiftain models for 2015.
