Another Trike From Harley-Davidson

2015 Trike Free-WheelerHarley-Davidson is out with more models for 2015, including a new low-profile trike dubbed the Freewheeler to join the existing Tri-Glide Ultra Classic.

Starting at $24,999, the Freewheeler features a mini ape-hanger handlebar and bobbed fenders. “With its low profile and stripped-down details inspired by 2015 Free-Wheelerclassic hot rods, the Freewheeler looks sweeter than a state fair funnel cake,” said Tony Pink, Freewheeler styling lead.

“From the new nacelle to the fastback seat and flat-top trunk, this trike is styled to look tight and compact. Even the new passenger hand rails are designed to flow with the bodywork. The Freewheeler will debut with some real street cred.”

2015 Free-WheelerHarley-Davidson says, “That 12-inch mini-ape handlebar offers the tallest rise available on any Harley-Davidson motorcycle to place the hand controls closer to the rider and reduce steering reach and effort. The seat is shaped to move the rider forward for a better reach to the foot and hand controls, with a passenger position designed for comfort while blending with the bodywork. Soft-touch passenger grab rails are easy to grip and mount directly to the body.”

In other news from Harley-Davidson, “low” versions of the Electra Glide Ultra Classic (pictured in orange) and the Ultra Limited (seen in green) are coming. The 2015 Electra Glide Ultra Classic LowElectra Glide Ultra Classic Low will start at $24,399, while the Ultra Limited will begin at $26,999.

“With these new models we are addressing the important issue of fit, perhaps the ultimate expression of personalization,” said Michelle Kumbier, Harley-Davidson Senior Vice President of Motorcycle Operations.
