Pigskin Quiz Mixes Motorcycle, Football Terms

The NFL is in playoff mode and college’s National Championship game between Ohio State and Oregon is tonight, so here’s a simple little pigskin quiz that mixes Neil Tolhurstfootball and motorcycling to get you thinking about street survival skills.

It may also help you combat those feelings of “PMS” (parked motorcycle syndrome). Just match the numbers next to the terms with the letters for their definition. The whistle has blown, the kickoff is in the air, go to it!

MATCH THE APPROPRIATE NUMBERS WITH THE LETTERS

  1. “Styling” or show-off riding
  2. Mental skills, street survival defensive riding
  3. As in offending others with noise or overly aggressive traffic moves
  4. Police
  5. Vehicle code
  6. A “replace everything” approach to repairs, rather than logical trouble shooting steps.
  7. Space cushion around you in traffic.
  8. Safe arrival at your destination.
  9. Quick, sharp beginning of a turn.
  10. Pit “tootsies” at a racetrack.
  11. Your spouse or mate.
  12. Vehicle changing position in front to prevent you from overtaking.
  13. Using the inside lane on a turn when a car in front of you swings wide across several lanes.
  14. Using a larger vehicle to shield you from cross-traffic when going through an intersection.
  15. Screen, similar to above, but using several vehicles.
  16. Left front wheel, driver’s head, steering wheel, etc.
  17. Taking a wide line in a turn, swinging around another vehicle.
  18. Full coverage helmet with face protectior.
  19. Proper riding gear.
  20. Curbs, lane marking lines, Botts’ dots, etc.
  21. Overtaking other vehicles.
