Motorcyclepedia Offers Lecture Series

NEWBURGH, NY – The Motorcyclepedia Museum kicks off a winter/spring lecture series on Saturday with Brian Rathjen of “Backroads” magazine talking at 3 p.m. about “The Top 5 Motorcycle Destinations in the World.”

Two lectures are planned in February, two in March and one in April. Each presentation will begin at 3 p.m. at the museum at 250 Lake St. Other speakers include:

Feb. 7 – “How to Avoid a Ticket: Motorcycle Laws” by Peter Miller

Feb. 21 – “Motorcycle Training: What the MSF Offers” by Seth Simpson

March 14 – “Basic Motorcycle Maintenance” by Armen Amirian

March 21 – “Making the Most of Your GPS” by Paul Donaghue

April 25 – “Women in Motorcycling” by Cheryl Stewart

The Motorcyclepedia also plans an indoor swap meet on Jan. 30-31. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at 21 Liberty St. in Newburgh. Admission is $10, which includes access to the museum for those wishing to drive crosstown.
