MILAN, Italy – Need proof that its four 2015 Scrambler models were a hit for Ducati? The company announced today that more versions and variants are on the way. New for 2016 will be a Flat Track Pro version, based on the existing 803cc platform, as well as an all-new and smaller Scrambler called the Sixty2.

The Sixty2 is designed to make the Scrambler “even more accessible” to the riding community, said Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali in unveiling the new model at the ECMA show. It will be powered by a 399cc motor with 41 horsepower and 34.6 Nm torque. It will come in three colors – Atomic Tangerine, Shiny Black and Ocean Grey. It weighs in at only 368 pounds dry.

“For us, Scrambler is the future,” said Domenicali, who also announced during a live, worldwide streamcast this morning that yet another Scrambler model will be forthcoming in December.

As for the Flat Track Pro model, which was unveiled with the help of racer Troy Bayliss (shown at top with Domenicali), it’s based on the Scrambler Full Throttle model and has 75 horsepower. It comes in racing yellow with two-tone side panels, tapered handlebars and Termignoni Slip-on exhaust. SCRAMBLER FLAT TRACK PRO - left rear

The 2016 XDiavel is Ducati’s attempt to crack the cruiser market. Ducati said it promises “low speed excitement” with a feet forward riding position – and 156 horsepower. Domenicali said the XDiavel represents a “paradigm shift” for Ducati.
