Zero Recall Of Some 2015 Models

WASHINGTON – Electric motorcycle maker Zero is recalling 96 of its 2015 model-year SR, S, DS and X motorcycles for an electrical issue.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports the affected motorcycles “have a DC-DC converter that may have insufficient2015_zero-sr_studio_rp-wbg_1680x1200_press power output. During high-power demand, the anti-lock brake system may not function properly.”

The NHTSA says insufficient power may cause “the ABS and all vehicle lights to temporarily stop functioning, increasing the risk of a crash” if the rider uses the brakes.

Dealers will inspect the affected bikes and replace the converter, if necessary, free of charge. The recall began Friday.
