Received a plea over the weekend to help spread the word about a poker run in Enfield on Saturday. Seems a major block of riders won’t be able to attend this year, so the sponsors – the Connecticut Elks Association and the Autism Happens Foundation – are looking for replacement riders.
The run benefits families dealing with autism. Registration is from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Enfield Elks lodge, 138 North Maple Street. The run starts at 11 a.m. and returns about 1 p.m. Cost is $20 per rider and $10 per passenger.
