Go to the same places often enough and you’re bound to bump into familiar faces. The past two Sundays, RIDE-CT.com has run into Matt Hazen of Colebrook at the usual haunt, Toymaker’s Cafe in Falls Village.
Today, Hazen was riding a silver 1987 Honda Hurricane 1000 with only 15,800 miles. Powered by a 998cc four-cylinder engine that puts out 130 horsepower.
Two styling elements make the Hurricane eye-catching – the wrap-around tail lights and a petcock that’s recessed in the fairing. The tail lights look modern even 25 years later.
Last week, Hazen showed up on a very clean 1978 Yamaha RD400 (below), also in silver. He has one more bike in his garage, a 1970 Triumph bobber.
