Bud Wilkinson…
A life-long print and broadcast journalist, Bud Wilkinson is a native of Harwinton, CT and a graduate of Vermont Academy in Saxtons Rivers, VT and Ohio Wesleyan University in
Delaware, Ohio where he earned a B.A. in journalism.
Early in his career he was a reporter and TV/Radio Writer for “The Columbus Dispatch” in Ohio before spending 10 years as TV/Radio Columnist for “The Arizona Republic” in Phoenix. That was followed by a an eight-year stint as Entertainment Reporter for KSAZ-TV/Fox 10 in Phoenix (where he won a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award for commentary) and entertainment reporter for news/talk KTAR radio.
Wilkinson then launched the syndicated radio show “Broadway’s Biggest Hits,” which aired nationwide for more than a decade. For the past eight years, he has written the RIDE-CT motorcycle column for “The Republican-American” newspaper in Waterbury, CT.
He currently owns three bikes – a 2008 Suzuki V-Strom 650, a 1974 Honda CB750 Four and a 1969 Triumph T100R Daytona.
Besides writing the column and hosting this website,Wilkinson also writes occasionally for “Motorcycle Classics” and “RoadBike” magazines. He has been riding for nine years.

Steve Smith…
A Bronx native, Steve Smith has lived in the Waterbury area since 1987. He is a graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and is presently pursuing a
Masters in Management of Technology.
Steve began riding off-road at the age of 13 and rode several dirt bikes over the years. His (legal) on-road experience began at age 20 with a Honda CB400T. Several years later he purchased a new Suzuki GS750EX. His current stable consists of a 2011 Kawasaki Concours 14, 1998 Kawasaki Concours and a Kawasaki Ninja 250.
Besides writing for RIDE-CT.com, Steve has also been published in motorcycling magazines and has been on the board of directors of the Concours Owners Group for more
than 10 years. He has organized local, regional and national club events.
Steve is a state and nationally certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor and rider coach. He has been instructing beginner and experienced training courses at several of the many Connecticut Rider Education Program locations in the state for more than 10 years.
Steve is an avid sport touring rider and enjoys long weekend trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, West Virginia, Vermont and New Hampshire. Most times when not instructing on a weekend, you can find him out for a Sunday morning worship of the asphalt ribbon around Connecticut and New York.

Tim Aloisio…
Tim Aloisio writes the “On Two Wheels” column for “The Republican” newspaper in
Springfield, MA and has been doing so for nearly seven years. He started riding dirt bikes at age 10, got his first street bike at 17 and has now been riding for more than 30 years.
He is a a Harley-Davidson enthusiast, a member of H.O.G. and a member of the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association. He’s eagerly promotes motorcycle events in central and western Massachusetts in his newspaper column and welcomes input and story ideas from all
readers. He lives in Monson, MA. and begins the 2012 riding season with a new bike – a 2012 Electra Glide Classic.
